Do you notice what is wrong with this newer ladder?

The human error factor can manifest itself during the manufacturing process, which can translate into rungs and other components, such as rivets, feet, or hardware to be improperly installed or even missing! We live in an imperfect world, and manufacturers can make mistakes from time to time. That is why inspections on new ladders are just as important!
